Team On a Whim finished first in the female division with Team Volt placing first in the men’s and Muffin Top with a win in the mixed division.
We had perfect weather and excellent conditions for the 2nd California SwimRun 12K Sprint Race in San Diego this morning on/around beautiful Mission Bay.
80+ SwimRun athletes from all over Southern California competed in this fully-subscribed event. The course included 8 runs and 7 swims for a total distance of 12,800 meters.
Many teams adamantly stated that they will be back for our 22K SwimRun Challenge on January 22, 2017.
We are extremely enthusiastic about promoting the dynamic sport of Swimrun (developed and fostered in Sweden) here in California. We followed and enforced the same rules that were carefully crafted by the ÖTillÖ Swimrun organization (although, wetsuits were not required in the 70+F air and 65+F water today).
